Lambchop

Inicialmente um trio de amigos originários de Nashville, Kurt Wagner, Kim Watkins e Marc Trovillion, chamado "Posterchild", evoluiu para a banda que hoje conhecemos como "Lambchop, composta por 11 músicos, que dividem a música com outras profissões.
A música de Lambchop combina um country alternativo com soul e jazz, e enquadra-se ainda no chamado "chamber-pop".
Pode dizer-se que as músicas de Lambchop são de uma profundidade sublime e que a voz de Kurt Wagner é de uma delicadeza e subtileza únicas.
Quando em 2000 ouvi "Nixon", desconhecia completamente a banda, mas achei o álbum incontestavelmente apaixonante e passei a acompanhar a evolução dos Lambchop (que tinham já tido o seu álbum de estreia em 1994). Actualmente têm já 9 álbuns (o último intitulado "Damage") e são uma banda reconhecida na Europa, incluindo no nosso país, por onde já passaram.
